Week 6: #Waves4Change 2020 Sustainability Challenge – Go Paperless!
February 28, 2020 | Kristen Vidmar, DLDT Associate Board Member

Why Take This Challenge?
Ever look around you and wonder how piles of paper have stacked up on your kitchen counter or on your desk at work? Paper is something we deal with every day, we get it in the mail, we print documents or tickets for sports games and buy magazines. It is almost inevitable to avoid paper, but there are ways to minimize it!
How Does This Challenge Benefit Me?
You may not realize that some companies charge you a monthly fee to send paper copies of bills, paychecks, and other documents. By understanding the channels in which we receive paper, we can change the settings to our bank account or any other account to only receive information electronically. You also help to save trees, the environment, time, and space!
What If I Already Do This?
Focus on reducing other paper products- paper towels, toilet paper, tissue paper, paper plates and cups… the list goes on and on!
Prep This Weekend for Your More Sustainable Week
Start tracking who is sending you paper-based mail and begin to make a list of these sources. As you pay your next bill, make sure to set your account to be paperless!
