Rick Steves, guidebook author and PBS Personality, is one of the world’s most respected travel authorities. He encourages U.S. citizens to travel abroad independently and become ‘temporary locals,’ by seeking paths usually not taken by tourists. At the Breen Center, Steves will be reflect on his latest book, which reflects on how a life of travel can be a force for peace and understanding in the world, in the context of IPM’s 40 Year History. The book contains a chapter on El Salvador with which Greater Cleveland has strong historical ties and where IPM’s Regional Office for Latin America & the Caribbean is located. IPM’s signature Immersion Experience Program to the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, India, Kenya, Nicaragua, and other countries, is exactly the type of transformational travel that Rick promotes and recommends. For tickets, click here: http://sa1.seatadvisor.com/sabo/servlets/TicketRequest?eventId=950805&presenter=SIHS&venue=&event=&version=
