Drip farm irrigation.

The Family Spirit farm is not only a place to grow food, but for children to learn about farming. Drought has plagued east Africa very harshly for the last 50 years and irrigation has been impossible with the funds available to this large 267 person family. In 2014, we dug a shallow well that feeds to a 10,000 liter tank and down into drip irrigation so FS can grow more than maize. They now grow tomatoes, cabbage, eggplants, sweet potatoes, cassava, onions, green peppers, and other vegetables which help the children have a much healthier diet.
