Mafudu Primary School (Sanitation)

The Problem

The boys practice outdoor urination behind a mosquito net which was placed on to the poles and doubles as a bathing area. Sanitation is a big challenge to this school because both girls and boys don’t have bathing areas and the toilets they have are not drainable and full of cracks (dangerous) and almost full. One is abandoned and another one is almost at its capacity. We consider this an emergency.

Handwashing facilities
Teacher latrines
