Namatala Primary School (Clean Water)
The Problem
A committed head teacher is passionate about helping his students thrive, but the population is so high and the basics of water and sanitation are seemingly impossible to manage. With limited resources, they’ve tried their best to fix water tanks and pay for water deliveries, but these are not long lasting solutions.
The Solution
DLDT plans to build a 200,000 liter underground storage tank which will feed to a tower that holds 20,000 additional liters then feeds down into campus-wide tap stands with multiple taps for students to wash, drink and cook at both schools. Please see the Namatala latrine project too (20 latrine stances,$18,000) and Museveni Primary School’s sanitation needs.
